This beautifully coloured lily is from my mother-in-laws garden. What I like most about this picture is the detail in the stamens (male organs of the flower).

I don't know what it is about flowers, but I just love taking macro shots of them.

A Beautiful Pond - SOOC

My family and I went for a walk in a nearby park. It was a beautiful hot day. The pond was so still. I just loved the lines of the bull rushes.

It is amazing to me what you can discover in the world around you when you stop to look at things beyond the norm. Not that shadows aren't normal, but when you aren't looking for them they don't seem to be there.
