My family and I went for a walk in a nearby park. It was a beautiful hot day. The pond was so still. I just loved the lines of the bull rushes.

Those rushes are captivating. The first full weekend I had my then-new camera, I headed out to a country road near my house and deliberately sought out the bullrushes growing out of the soggy ditch.
I didn't capture them nearly as thoughtfully as you have here!
